Last week I attend a workshop from a well known and respected business coach and mentor and although the material presented was beneficial, I actually got the best bit of “advice” from a young, up and coming manager, Brian, who was a member of my group for the day. At the time, neither he nor I knew, that he was inadvertently providing me with the greatest benefit from the session.

Brian lamented, "the owner of the company I work for continually complains, I should really change something about my business. Yet, every time the opportunity presents itself we bypass it and settle back into our old comfortable habits and continue to try the same old methods for getting things done".

What I have done in my business in the past has got my business to where it is now. But that is all it will do. It won’t carry it any further. We can’t do what we have always done and expect to get a different result.

This got me thinking…

            How will we ever get different results unless we try something different?
